Johanna Anderson has been a staple in the Central New York Community, known for her expertise in residential and consumer lending and affordable housing development. Anderson joined Tompkins in 2023 as the bank market president for Central New York. Anderson was a member of the CNY board of directors for the past three years, offering strategic insight and organizational expertise in line with the bank’s goals and mission. Most recently, Anderson was executive director of Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services (INHS), where she actively led the mission to build affordable housing developments, as well as support homeowners and renters with financial and maintenance services. In her prior position, she served as the chief credit officer of Home HeadQuarters, Inc., where she managed the process and production of all lending products and oversaw the development of credit approval processes. Anderson has shown a continued commitment to serving her community through board appointments at non-profits including: director of the Ithaca Area Economic Development Board of Directors and Finance Committee, the Kendal at Ithaca Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Committee and the Schuyler County Partnership for Economic Development Board of Directors. Anderson holds an M.B.A from Husson University and resides with her family in Montour Falls, NY.
With approximately 23 years of banking experience, DeMilia joined Tompkins Mahopac Bank (TMB) as its Regional Vice President providing commercial banking services in Westchester County in 2008. His dedication to the Bank, fellow team members, shareholders and clients was quickly recognized and shortly thereafter DeMilia became the Westchester Commercial Lending Division Manager and later the Senior Commercial Lending Division Manager for all of commercial lending in the Hudson Valley. His contributions to Tompkins have not been limited to the Mahopac Bank affiliate as DeMilia has directed and co-directed multiple important Corporate initiatives that have helped Tompkins continue to be a forward looking multi-faceted full service financial institution providing superior services to its clients and its communities. DeMilia exhibits the values of Tompkins Mahopac Bank with his various community activities and involvement, most notably his position as Trustee of the WMC Health Organization where he has overseen team efforts to raise in excess of $125,000 for that organization over his years with TMB.
Chuck Guarino currently serves as Chief Banking Operations Officer, a role he assumed in 2023. Prior to that he oversaw the Bank’s consumer, residential, small business and specialty lending areas since 2019 when he joined Tompkins. Previously, Chuck spent 24 years at a Western NY based community bank where he served in a variety of roles overseeing areas such as marketing, retail banking, retail lending, wealth management and indirect auto lending. Guarino currently serves on the marketing and fundraising committee of Hope585 and previously held positions as first vice chairperson on the board of directors of the Urban League of Rochester, past vice president of Resolve of Greater Rochester, and past campaign cabinet member of the United Way of Wyoming County. Chuck is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo and holds an MBA from University of Rochester’s Simon Business School.
A career Pennsylvania banker, Ginger Kunkel is well known throughout the financial services community for her expertise in commercial, retail, operational and executive management. She joined Tompkins in 2021 as chief operating officer for the Pennsylvania market, and assumed the role of president of the Pennsylvania market in 2022. Most recently, she was SEVP and chief operating officer for Riverview Bank & Riverview Financial Corporation, headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Prior to Riverview, she worked in C&I commercial lending for Susquehanna Bank ($18 billion in assets), headquartered in Lititz, Pennsylvania and was active throughout the Tompkins PA core markets. She is committed to community involvement and has served as a board member and volunteer for many non-profit and civic organizations, including Boy Scouts of America, the Fresh Air Fund, Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, the United Way, and the West Brunswick Planning Commission. She was recently appointed to the board of the PA Bankers Services Corporation, where her knowledge of digital products and services will assist in the evaluation of fintech solutions available to community banks.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Stacie Mastin currently serves as Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources, a role she assumed in 2024. Joining Tompkins in 2008, Stacie has held numerous positions in Human Resources, most recently as VP, Human Resources Manager as well as having spent time as a Wealth Advisor with our partners at Tompkins Financial Advisors. In her current role, Stacie is responsible for aligning human resources practices with the organization’s overall goals, while also providing guidance and support to employees. She is dedicated to serving her community, currently serving as the president of The Society for Human Resources Management of Tompkins County (SHRMTC) and is a former community fund committee member of United Way. Stacie holds a bachelor's degree in human services and a concentration in human resources management from Post University.
With over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, John McKenna has served as President, Tompkins Community Bank since 2022 utilizing his expert knowledge of commercial, retail and banking operations. McKenna joined Tompkins in 2009 concentrating in commercial lending before serving as president of the Western New York market for seven years. In his current role, McKenna oversees the bank presidents of Tompkins four markets as well as credit and strategy functions across Tompkins’ entire footprint. An active member of his community, McKenna is a member of the Bishop's Stewardship Council for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester, board member of the Center for Governmental Research in Rochester, NY, Chair of the Board of Governors of Al Sigl Community of Agencies, and member of the Advisory Council at St. John Fisher College’s School of Business. McKenna holds an M.B.A. from the William E. Simon School of Business Administration and resides with his family in Brighton, N.Y.
Rejoining in 2024, Eric Taylor is now President of Tompkins Financial Advisors. Eric has spent his career in wealth management and boasts extensive experience in investment and advisory services. His background includes strategic oversight and management of client-facing investment advisors, portfolio managers and financial planners. In addition, he brings to the role an in-depth knowledge of investment planning and portfolio implementation, as well as investment oversight and compliance.
Eric started his early career with Tompkins as a trust officer, he then went on to grow professionally among a number of institutions, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Wealth and Institutional Services Division at Wilmington Trust, an M&T Company.
A long-time resident of Ithaca, New York, Eric is a graduate of the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and holds a Master of Business Administration. He also spent his undergraduate years at Cornell earning a Bachelor of Arts in Policy Analysis and Management.
Matthew Tomazin serves as an Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of Tompkins Financial Corporation since October 01, 2023. He served as Senior Vice President of Tompkins Community Bank since February 2021 until October 01, 2023, having joined the Company in April 2019 as Vice President and Senior Quantitative Analyst. From 2008 until April 2019, Mr. Tomazin served in accounting and strategic finance roles, most recently as Vice President and Assistant Treasurer with NBT Bancorp Inc.
A veteran of the banking industry, Diane Torcello is well-known throughout the community for her expertise in retail, commercial, operations, and branch management. She was promoted in 2023 to the bank market president for Western New York. Torcello joined Tompkins in 2005 as a branch manager before assuming the role of community banking manager in 2013, a position she held for 10 years. Torcello was responsible for the leadership of all staff and operations of the Western New York branch network, as well as the direct involvement and management of the largest deposit relationships. Active in the community, Torcello has served as a board member and volunteer for several nonprofit organizations throughout her career, including the Genesee County Chamber Business Development Committee, Mary Immaculate Finance Committee, Children’s Home Committee, United Way, St. Mary’s Parish Council and Junior Achievement. She has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Genesee Community College for 14 years, including two as Chair. Torcello is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan University and resides in Pavillion with her husband.
